The real flower petal company in Wick, Pershore, Worcestershire provides one of the most beautiful fields you will ever see. Rows upon rows of gorgeous delphinium flowers in pastel pinks, blues and white. There is a viewing platform which overlooks a Union Jack image, made from different colour delphiniums and approximately 11 acres of Delphiniums bursting in flower.
This was the first year I have visited the flowers fields having only found out about them last year – unfortunately just after they had closed! The fields are only opens for 10 days a year due to the short time they are in flower and the need to pick the petals for confetti. I first visited the fields on the Monday which is always family day for us, it was a perfect excuse for a day out the the kids whilst scouting out the location and getting some gorgeous pictures of my two Archie (4) and Emilia (2). My two loved running through the fields especially my little girl who is obsessed with everything pink and who was more than happy to pose with a her teddy and a bunch of Delphiniums we purchased at the entrance.
Wednesday was mini shoot day, with 7 session through out the day is was a back to back full on Photography day. The weather was definitely not on my side, being one of the hottest days of the year. Bright sunshine is not a photographer bestfriend but the English weather is so unpredictable I have learnt to work in most conditions! The boiling sun, sweat and sunburn was totally worth it as I met so many gorgeous and lovely families, I really enjoyed the day.
I am so pleased with the images, the flower fields are such a perfect location for a beautiful background. I really enjoy working with toddlers, you just have to go with the flow and enjoy it as the photo session unfolds infront if you, capturing those cheeky, loving and exquisite moments.
