A precious moment in time
My children are now 2 & 4 years old, the common statement of ‘doesn’t time fly’ is so true when it comes to watching your children grow and develop into individual little people. I have really enjoyed documenting their milestones and feel very lucky to be able to use them as models when scouting out possible shoot locations.
Being a working mum comes with a whole load of worries and guilt. I feel privileged to be able to discover stunning new locations to photograph whilst enjoying a fun day out with my children – Monday is always our adventure day .
In July we had a great time at the lavender fields running through the rows, watching the bees collect the nectar and eating lavender ice cream. Back in the spring we headed into the woods to find the best areas to photograph the bluebells at the same time we hunted for ‘stickman’ and made a den out of all the fallen branches. I am just starting Autumn sessions this year, I will definitely be taking the children into the local woodland in search of the biggest piles of fallen leaves where the children will have lots of fun jumping in and throw the leaves everywhere.
Childhood is such a precious time as everyone has always told me enjoy those special moments – the simple ones are often the best.
I love capturing children enjoying the world in which we live, exploring and using the different seasons of nature as stunning backdrops.
