I recently photographed a gorgeous family at their home in Herefordshire. Mum, Natalie had kindly left one of their paddocks so the buttercups could flower, this provided an excellent setting for some beautiful family shots especially of their very cute little boy Harry.
I love working with yellow flowers they provide such vibrant images and really capture a child’s fun and innocent character. Little Harry was a great model and looked super cute in his little shirt, braces and shorts. He was a little frustrated at not being able to walk on his own, yet he was more than happy to hold mum & dad’s hands to practice. He especially enjoyed the classic game of his parents swinging him through the air. This provided lots of cute smiles and giggles. We visited some of the horses on the yard and found a particular photogenic grey called Kenny who Harry enjoyed feeding treats too. We also met a lovely looking bay mare which had Harry in fits of giggles – providing more cute images.
Whilst Harry had a quick snack break and outfit change, I focused on the two family dogs, Goose and Toby. Toby, the calm black lab, turned out to be a real poser. On the other hand, Goose the gorgeous golden retriever, was full of energy so a game of fetch was required to gain her attention.
Harry returned in another adorable outfit, a gift from him godmother in Tenerife which included a mini dickie bow tie. After some lovely shots of all the family together including the dogs, Harry sat happily in amongst the buttercups nibbling on a ginger biscuit and allowed me to get some close up images which I love.
